RIYADH — Fonte Stars humbled Lahore Badshah by 40 runs in the final and won the 10-over Al-Momen Cup Cricket Tournament, sponsored by Al-Momen International School and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) here. Batting first, Fonte Stars put on 126. Waseem (50) and Bilal (42) starred with the bat. Babar took 2 wickets. Lahore Badshah managed only 86-5. Shakeel took 3 wickets and Afaq 2. Waseem was adjudged Man of the Match. Bilal Wani was named Player of the Tournament, while Best Batsman and Best Bowler awards were won by Irshad Mubashar and Akhar, respectively. In the first semifinal, Lahore Badshah cruised to victory over KFSH Blues by 10 wickets. KFSH Blues made 99-7 as Waseem top scored with 46 and Iftikhar hit 26. Imran took 3 wickets. Lahore Badshah, in reply, coasted home in 5.2 overs. Fahad and Babar remained not out on 57 and 29, respectively. Fahad was declared Man of the Match. In the second semis, Fonte Star downed Aisco by 7 wickets. Aisco posted a good total of 118. Amjad batted well for his 36. Shakeel took 3 wickets. Fonte Star reached the target in just 8.3 overs. Star batsman Bilal Wani smashed an unbeaten 72 off just 28 balls. Waseem helped with 22. Amjad grabbed 2 wickets. Bilal was named Man of the Match. The prize distribution ceremony was held soon after the final. RCA General Secretary Nasir Abbasi anchored the ceremony. RCA President and Chairman of Executive Committee Saudi Cricket Center, Tariq Javed, was the chief guest. Nadeem Babar, RCA CEO, and special representative of the Paton in Chief Prince General Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Abdul Kareem Khan and other RCA officials were also present. Speaking on this occasion, Karim Khan thanked all the RCA teams for their support to RCA. Nadeem Babar conveyed the message of patron in chief.
