RIYADH – Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Disabled Children's Association (DCA) is scheduled to celebrate the laying of the foundation stone for its pioneering charitable investment project “Khair Makkah.” The project comprises five administrative hotel towers in Makkah at a cost exceeding SR300 million, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
Prince Sultan Bin Salman, chairman of the board of directors of the Disabled Children's Association, said the project is a qualitative change in the performance of charitable work institutions in the Kingdom, especially of the association.
Prince Sultan said that the rise in the budget for operation of the association's centers to SR120 million this year confirms the magnitude of the challenge facing the association, especially as it depends on donations from philanthropists as a main source for its revenues.
The project comprises five towers — one under the name of King Salman, the second under the name of the late Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, a tower for the clients of Saudi Telecom Company (STC), one for the clients of Panda Company, and the fifth under the name of Holy Qur'an Contest for Disabled Children.
