With regard to the comment "Expats have every right to send their money home!" (June 13), the salary that expats receive is actually the money left after the profit has been earned by the employer. This is not to mention the profit that is made by the sponsor which is hard to calculate. There is no doubt that many expat workers are underpaid, so why should Saudis worry about expats sending their money home? An employee has the right to spend his money as he likes and we should all appreciate the fact that they are caring for their family and commitments back home. Of course, I am only talking about money that has been legally earned in the Kingdom. All illegal funds and transfers are the responsibility of the authorities. Manzoor Ahmed, Online response
