MAKKAH — Firefighters put out a warehouse fire in Al-Akishiyah District on Saturday. Makkah Civil Defense spokesman Capt. Naif Al-Shareef said the fire started in the backyard of the premises. The backyard contained junk and the warehouse was full of cartons and paper, said the spokesman. Most of the goods in the warehouse were burned but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it damaged any machinery. The Civil Defense is still investigating the cause of the fire. No one was injured.
