RIYADH – Mobily opens latest Technical Building in Dhahran, which provides 660m² of white space to accommodate both telecom and IT equipment. It was designed and implemented based on the latest technology that meets Uptime Institute Tier II. Moreover, the site has a measured infrastructure availability of 99.98% – as per Uptime institute – to achieve Tier II classification. The facility is designed with a fully monitored, controlled and managed infrastructure to achieve a high rate of operational sustainability by installing specialized systems and tools. During the event, Essam O. Aljubair, Senior Executive Officer, Business Support/ Facilities & Administration in Mobily assured that the company invests strategically on these capital and operational assets. The opening of this technical building in Dhahran is a major step in highlighting Mobily's expansion plans and ensuring a high return on its investment. Aljubair further said these Mobily facilities adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety to ensure business continuity. Mobily Data Centers are significant and most beneficial to both the Government and the business sector in terms of providing highly reliable services such as cloud computing, hosting and manage services, business continuity and disaster recovery and Internet and information security. Among the other recently completed Mobily Data Centers, Melga 2 in Riyadh has been awarded TIER IV Classification from Uptime Institute for both design and construction. In addition, Mobily is on top in this region also Asia and Africa to have the most number of Data Centers which have been classified and certified by Uptime Institute.
