LE MANS, France — Spain's two-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo won his second successive MotoGP Sunday when he took the French race for the fifth time in his career at the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans. The 28-year-old coasted home ahead of Yamaha teammate and championship leader Valentino Rossi, who was recording his ninth successive podium finish. This was Lorenzo's first podium at Le Mans since 2012. Rossi's Italian compatriot Andrea Dovizioso took a fine third on a Ducati for his fourth podium finish in the five races thus far this season. Two-time defending champion Marc Marquez fell further behind Rossi in the title race as he finished fourth only just getting the better of Italy's Andrea Iannone, who was riding with a dislocated shoulder. Swiss rider Thomas Luthi's love affair with the French GP continued as he won the Moto2 race for the fourth time on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans. The 28-year-old — the 2005 125cc world champion — led home a Kalex bike 1-2-3 with Spaniard Tito Rabat finishing runner-up and Johann Zarco of France third. Zarco remains atop the world championship standings. Italian teenager Romano Fenati won the sixth GP of his career, taking the Moto3 race on a KTM. The 19-year-old — who first competed at this level in 2012 beginning with a bang with two podium finishes — led home an Italian 1-2-3 with Honda's Enea Bastianini second and Mahindra rider Francesco Bagnaia third. Britain's Danny Kent finished fourth on a Honda and leads the world championship standings. — Agencies
