JAZAN — A child died after drowning in a flooded manhole while two more were rescued on Friday. Jazan Civil Defense spokesman Maj. Yahya Al-Qahtani said the sewage systems were flooding after rainfall on Friday and two children had been reported missing during the chaos. Rescuers found the two children nearly drowning near a manhole and they were taken to Bisha Hospital in a critical condition. However, a third child was also found dead in the manhole. The father of the victim said he refused to receive the body before he could sue whoever was responsible for leaving the manhole exposed.
