RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman issued a number of royal decrees announcing new appointments in the leadership and a Cabinet reshuffle. • Crown Prince Muqrin has been relieved from his post on his request and Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, second deputy premier and interior minister, has been appointed in his place. • Prince Muhammad has also been appointed deputy premier and is keeping his portfolio as interior minister and chairman of the Political and Security Affairs Council. • Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, the defense minister, has been appointed deputy crown prince and second deputy premier in addition to his current portfolio at the head of the Defense Ministry and chairman of the Economic and Development Affairs Council. • King Salman asked citizens to pledge allegiance to the two princes Wednesday. • Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the long serving foreign minister, has been relieved from his position on his own personal request for health reasons. • He has been replaced by Adil Al-Jubeir, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Washington. • Prince Saud has been appointed state minister, cabinet member, adviser and special envoy to the king and supervisor of foreign affairs. • Khaled Bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh as health minister in addition to his current position as head of Saudi Aramco. • Muhammad Al-Jasser has been relieved from his post as minister of national economy and planning and replaced by Adel Fakeih, who has left his portfolio as labor minister. Al-Jasser has been appointed adviser at the royal court with a ministerial portfolio. • Mofrej Al-Haqbani, undersecretary of the Labor Ministry, has been given full command of the ministry in place of Fakeih. • Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem has been appointed chief of the Royal Court at the rank of minister. He replaces Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. • Khaled Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Issa has been relieved from his post as deputy chief of the Royal Court and appointed state minister and cabinet member. He has also been appointed member of the Political and Security Affairs Council. • Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohammed Bin Nasser has been appointed chief of the Court of Grievances. • Mansour Bin Abdullah Al-Mansour was appointed assistant to the president of youth welfare. • Saleh Bin Mohammed Abdul Karim is a new advisor at the Royal Court. • Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Jasser, the deputy minister of culture and information, has been appointed chairman of the Radio and Television Authority. He replaces Abdul Rahman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazza. • Dr. Mansour Bin Nasser Bin Abdullah Al-Hawwasi, deputy health minister for health affairs, has been relieved from his post. • Nura Bint Abdullah Al-Faiz, deputy minister of education for girls education, and Hamad Bin Mohammed Al-Asheikh, deputy education minister for boys education, have been relieved from their posts. • Mohammed Bin Hamza Bin Bakr Bin Khushaim, deputy health minister for planning and development, has been relieved as per his request. • Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin has been appointed advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
