Syeda Amtul Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — To celebrate the flavors of traditional Moroccan cuisine, an authentic Moroccoan Food Festival has been organized at Andulusia restaurant of Park Hyatt Jeddah last Thursday. Park Hyatt Jeddah embarked on a culinary journey with experienced chef from Hyatt Casa Blanca, Chef Adil Bouaicha, for 9 consecutive days of May. The festival opened on Thursday evening and was well attended by guests, and diplomats, among others. The 9-day food fest showcases a variety of taste and flavor that each region provides to Morocco. Ashwini Kumar, general manager of Park Hyatt Jeddah, said “today we are doing the opening night of Moroccan food festival which is food of Morocco and Spanish, we have special chef, who worked in Hyatt Casa Blanca, cooked some really good and traditional dishes, our food is very authentic, you will not feel that you are eating in Jeddah or Casa Blanca”. “Together with the team we have prepared different menus and everyday there will be different menu will be served,” he added. US Consul General Todd Holmstrom, who attended the opening ceremony of food fest, said “I am very pleased to be here. The Park Hyatt always put some very nice events, we are good customers of the Hyatt… so all of my staff are here tonight as well and we look forward to enjoy delicious food of Morocco.” Chef Adil Bouaicha said “today special cuisine includes traditional Moroccan pasta chicken, mixed grill, Tajin lamb with prawns, Khus Khus, etc., along with many more Moroccan sweet dishes.” “All food items are prepared with Moroccan spices and flavors,” he added. The Nine days of food fest features a selection of authentic appetizers and national favorites enjoyed on the terrace with an unrestricted view of the Red Sea. The subtle touches of Marrakech interior combined with the Andalusian atmosphere allows invitees to experience and savor the traditions of Morocco. — SG
