MAKKAH — As per the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, emirs of various regions received on Sunday pledges of allegiance from citizens on behalf of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, and Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense. Receiving the pledge of allegiance, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah region and adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, stressed that the Kingdom derives its pride from Islam and Saudi citizens. “We are proud to serve the citizens of this country. On my behalf and on behalf of the citizens in Makkah region, I thank Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the crown prince and deputy crown prince for upholding national cohesion,” Prince Khaled said. He pointed out that King Salman after his accession to the throne said that there was no difference between one citizen and another and one region and another. Prince Khaled warned against paying heed to rumors that aim to shake security and sow discord. General President for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais also stressed the importance of unifying ranks between the leadership and citizens. Emirs of Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Jazan, Asir, Al-Qassim, Al-Baha, Najran, Tabouk and other regions also received the pledges of allegiance.
