Lightning strikes gas station near Yanbu

MADINAH — A lightning bolt that struck a gas station in the village of Al-Faq'ali, 50 km from Yanbu, caused the fuel tanks' roofs to collapse. A car parked near the tanks sustained damage due to the flying roof slabs. Spokesman for Madinah Civil Defense Col. Khaled Al-Johani said upon receiving a report, the directorate dispatched a firefighting, rescue and paramedics team accompanied by three water tanker trucks. Some heaps of garbage near the fuel tanks caught fire but these were controlled by the Civil Defense. No casualties were reported.
