RIYADH — The Ministry of Defense has issued the following statement: In a qualitative operation, Saudi ground forces on Thursday repelled an attack carried out by groups of Houthi militias and their supporters from Yemeni army brigades that targeted our southern border sector of Najran. The groups targeted Saudi border posts and control points but ground forces clashed with them with direct and indirect fire. With the grace of God, our gallant forces managed to defeat the hostile evil elements, backed by direct air strikes carried out by the Air Force, which led to the destruction of their vehicles and damage to the equipment they used. Dozens of the militiamen were killed. Three soldiers of the ground troops were martyred. May God have mercy on the martyrs, reward them with paradise and bestow patience and fortitude on their families.
