Kolkata was comfortably placed at 52 for one after five overs and the asking rate was under six. But still Gautam Gambhir's boys choked and failed to go past the 135 target. CSK, by the virtue of this victory, sit atop standings. Kolkata had a poor start to its run chase as Gambhir got out for a golden duck in the very first over. He thereby equaled Mumbai Indian's Harbhajan Singh to have the most number of ducks in the league. Though Kolkata lost a wicket early, Robin Uthappa went for his shots to hit 17-ball 39. The knock put Kolkata in a position from where it could have finished the game with a couple of overs to spare. But it was not to be.
