JEDDAH — A total of 312 illegal expatriates were arrested in a five-hour operation in Al-Aziziyah District. Jeddah Police head Maj. Gen. Masoud Al-Udwani said officers inspected 82 houses and interrogated owners of 40 different houses for apparently leasing their properties out to workers who were in the country illegally. The police cut the electricity from the violating properties and urged the general public to cooperate with the officers and report any illegal expatriate they come across. Meanwhile, police arrested 1,122 illegal expatriates in the Qassim region last week. Qassim Police spokesman Maj.
