DAMMAM — Employing domestic workers in women's beauty parlors is a violation of the Labor Law, according to an official of the Ministry of Labor. Muhammad Al-Falih, director general of the ministry's branch in the Eastern Province, said the executive regulations for the domestic workers also prevent entrusting domestic workers to do work not specified in their labor contract, the Saudi Press Agency reported. “Article 33 of the Labor Law will be applicable to those domestic workers who engage in such works under their own sponsor. If they are found working under anyone other than sponsors, then they will be deported from the Kingdom in line with article 39 of the Labor Law,” he said. — SG
