Mohammad Al-Zahrani Okaz/Saudi Gazette TAIF — Minister of Education Azzam Al-Dakhil has extended the duration for private and international schools to apply for tuition fees increase by two weeks. The Ministry of Education had previously set a deadline obliging all private and international schools wishing to increase their tuition fees to apply through the ministry's website by March 19. A source at the ministry said investors of private and international schools requested for an extension of the deadline to be able to fulfill the application's requirements. “The minister granted them a two-week extension ending this week. However, all applications must be complete as incomplete applications may not be processed. The ministry plans to announce the new fees before the beginning of the next academic year,” said the source. The source added the ministry expects to receive a maximum of 700 new applications after which it will close the window for submitting applications for the year. “The ministry also receives complaints of parents to ensure that all tuition fees increase applications are reasonable and just,” said the source. On another note, the minister also opened new offices to register all teachers in the Kingdom and issue identity cards for them.
