RIYADH — The decision of Education Minister Azzam Al-Dakhil to establish nurseries in kindergartens and government, private and international girl schools will be implemented from next year, a spokesman of the ministry said, according to Makkah daily. Recently, the minister took to his personal Twitter account and tweeted: "Within the wish to increase productivity of female teachers by assuring them of (the safety of) their children, I have just issued a decision to open nurseries in kindergartens and government, private and international schools for girls." Mubarak Al-Ossaimi, the ministry's spokesman said the ministry will explain the details regarding the minister's decision during the coming two weeks. He said the decision will be applied after all arrangements have been completed and added that the practical application will be clear with the start of the next academic year. Meanwhile, Ahmed Al-Mofreh, member of the Education Committee at the Shoura Council, said the minister's decision was complementary to a previous one issued by the council about a year ago. He said the council issued its decision to cater to the needs and requirements of female teachers who cannot find safe places to leave their children while they work.
