AL-KHURMA, MAKKAH — A high school student died after being hit on his head with a sharp object following a fight with a classmate. The Red Crescent received reports of the fight and the injury and took the victim to Taif Hospital. The student underwent seven surgeries within 12 hours. Despite the surgeries, the severely injured student did not recover and he passed away. Makkah Police Lt. Gen. Ati Al-Qurashi said the victim was 17 years old while the other student was 18 years old. The police arrested the student and is currently under interrogation.
