RIYADH — The Board of Senior Ulema and the Shoura (Consultative) Council on Thursday extended full backing for the military operation in Yemen against the Houthi rebels. The board's Secretary General Sheikh Dr. Fahad Bin Saad Al-Majid said that the ulema have already declared the Houthis as a terrorist group that does not want good for Yemen and Muslims. He added that the recent undermining of Yemen's stability and security is strong enough evidence against the group's real purpose and aims. The Ummah, he said, should support the ‘Decisive Storm' operation to achieve its legitimate objectives of supporting the people of Yemen and preserving the stability and security of the Kingdom. Shoura chief Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Asheikh in a statement said the Kingdom's military operation constitutes its support for the territorial integrity and rule of law in Yemen. — SPA
