SHARJAH Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) participated in the 30th annual edition of Aahar 2015, the five-day international food and hospitality fair, that recently concluded at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. While talking about SAIF Zone ‘s participation, Saud Al Mazrouei, director of SAIF Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA), said the event, the biggest in the food industry and the hospitality sector in India, provided an opportunity to connect with the large companies involved in the food industry and hospitality and get closely acquainted with the needs of investors in this important sector. Al Mazrouei indicated that this participation would be meaningful in terms of trade promotion and strengthening bilateral trade relations. A number of prominent figures, including Saed Mohamad Almheiri, Charge d' Affaires at Embassy of the UAE in New Delhi, visited SAIF Zone's Pavilion and the pavilion attracted investors from Japan, Korea, China, Denmark, France, Afghanistan, Canada and Tunisia The event, organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), attracted over 800 participants, including 70 overseas participants from 22 countries. SAIF Zone delegation, led by its Commercial Director Mohamed Al Mahmoud, interacted with a number of businessmen in India and other countries. “The response was huge, especially from investors in India and businessmen from Korea and Japan,” said Mohamed Al Mahmoud. SAIF Zone, with an area of 6.1 million square meters of industrial and commercial land, houses more than 6,800 companies from 149 countries. — SG
