Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman emphasized on Tuesday that the State will uphold the independence of the judiciary and enforce its rules on everybody without any exception. The King made the remarks during an audience with Minister of Justice and Supreme Judicial Council Chairman Walid Al-Samaani and other senior judicial officials at Al-Yamamah Palace here, the Saudi Press Agency reported. King Salman highlighted the significance of the judiciary and its position in the Kingdom. “The judiciary in the Kingdom draws its authority from the Islamic Shariah,” he said. Al-Samaani thanked the King for his keenness in ensuring the independence of the judiciary based on Shariah. The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, second deputy premier and minister of interior, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Nissar, head of the Board of Grievances, Sheikh Ghaihab Al-Ghaihab, chief justice of the Supreme Court, and Sheikh Muhammad Al-Abdullah, head of the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
