JEDDAH — Several young entrepreneurs have shown interest in displaying their products at the 7th Jeddah Young Businessmen Exhibition scheduled to be held here next month.
The expo, to be held under the patronage of Makkah Emir Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, is being organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry's young businessmen committee.
The organizing committee noted that 82 percent booths at men's section have already been filled. Women entrepreneurs have also shown a discernible interest with 69% of booths allotted to them booked, the organizers said.
Thamir Al-Faltoushi, deputy head of the committee, said the exhibition provides a platform for companies to make partnerships and enhance competition among young businessmen and provide an atmosphere where collaboration with big companies can take place.
He added that they are still open to new registration for youth interested to present their experiences in small and medium businesses.
Suhaila Yusouf, a member of the young businessmen committee in charge of women's participation at the exhibition, said the exhibition is to help youth market their products and services and succeed in achieving strategic partnerships. It will also provide an opportunity to young entrepreneurs to exchange experiences and share their success stories.
The committee, she said, is keen to encourage youth in the region and help their products to be seen and recognized by the market and enable their products to compete both locally and internationally.
