George Bernard Shaw said “there is no love sincerer than the love of food.” So what would be better than the place that nourishes your heartfelt love of food with its mouth-watering, amazing, appetizing and delicious delights at a reasonable price. Located on Madinah Road, Palm Beach Restaurant sends a welcoming gesture with its bright green neon lights to passersby. Customers can eat in or out and both singles and families are welcome. The interior of this Lebanese restaurant has been finely designed to make it feel like a palm beach with a calm, serene and refreshing ambiance. However, there are quite a number of stairs that need to be negotiated at the entrance of the restaurant's family section (probably to burn some calories prior to indulging in the finger licking food that they serve). This Lebanese restaurant not only serves the native palate, it also offers a variety of aromatic and delectable servings for anyone who enters. The seating is surprising comfortable, providing families with complete privacy. The menu covers a wide range of Lebanese appetizers, and both oriental and European dishes along with seafood, grilled items, salads and soups. Palm Beach offers a Daily Dish—a variety of exquisite Lebanese and European foods along with an appetizer, a soup, a dessert and a soft drink. You have to try to believe how reasonable the prices are considering the large servings on offer. If you have taste for spicy food, then the Kebab Khish-Khash is for you. These kebabs are topped with spicy tomato sauce. The Palm Beach mixed grill is also extremely exquisite and consists of Shish Tawouk, Kebab Orfall, pieces of lamb and veggie bread. The Shawarma Platter is large enough to serve more than two people and costs anything between SR28 and SR48. Meals are served with salads, bread and french-fries. Aside from the comfortable seating, the manner in which waiters serve is even more graceful. The staff is excellent and the food is presented amazingly. The service is also five-star; you only need to press a button on the wall to beckon the waiter. The lighting and artwork also create a sense of comfort and intimacy. Even if you are not very hungry before arriving at Palm Beach, you'll have an appetite for the scrumptious food that is served there. The pickled salad is lip smacking while the bread is fresh. One down side was the very small plate of garlic sauce that finished before we had hardly started. There was also not much choice of desserts. The few desserts on offer included Jello, Umm Ali, Rice Pudding, Custard, Aish Alsarya and fruit salad. If you plan on visiting Palm Beach, then do not forget the juices. They are as fresh as fruit picked from a tree. Finally, when the bill arrives, expect to be served minty toffees and wet tissues—the combination looks cute, but not at all appreciable. Another choice of eating is the Open Buffet on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays); diners can eat sizzling hot and yummilicious food for SR95 per head. This is somewhat high, but those who love food do not find it such. Eating at Palm Beach is an experience not to be missed and customers will crave to eat more. Just a Tip – The prices in the Take Away Menu and Dine-in Menu are not the same. So, if you are in a mood for a quick bite then order a takeaway whereas if you want to be pampered with sophistication and delicacy in a placid environment then welcome yourselves in!
