SR1.09b Jeddah desalination plant contract signed

Eng. Abdullah Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hussayen, Minister of Water and Electricity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) on Sunday signed a 36-month contract with Korean Doosan Heavy Industries Construction Doosan Hydro Technology and Saudi Berkefeld Co. for the execution of the 3rd phase of Jeddah desalination plan. The plant using the reverse osmosis process is estimated to cost SR1.09 billion.
