BARCELONA – Just a day before the Mobile World Congress officially kicked off, Huawei held an event to bring everyone up to date and revealed its new products.
With the attendance of a huge number of media representatives from all over the world at the global press conference, Huawei unveiled a series of wearable devices including the first Android wear watch, TalkBand B2 (fitness tracker), and TalkBand N1 (health tracker), for consumers to stay connected.
Speaking proudly of their new innovative products, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG), said: “For consumers, having access and storage of personal data and records will make wearable devices one of the most important industry developments in the advent of Big Data and Cloud technologies.
Today's wearable device announcement showcases Huawei's commitment to inspiring creativity and creating products that will enhance the consumer's ecosystem.
Our wearable devices are to be connected and synchronized to offer the best all-around smart solution and personal monitoring based on individual need.
No doubt, wearable devices will remain one of the most significant trends in the device industry, and by leveraging Huawei's technology and innovation, Huawei Consumer BG aims to be a leader in the wearable space.”

For auto drivers, Huawei unveiled its in-car 4G LTE mobile WiFi device, Huawei CarFi. Inspired by the elegant lines of a golf club and boasting premium materials for added durability, Huawei CarFi converts vehicles into WiFi hotspots on wheels for added convenience in daily life.
Delivering download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and connectivity for up to 10 devices, Huawei CarFi can be easily transferred from one vehicle to another.
To showcase how innovation can benefit the consumer, Huawei has put the Huawei CarFi into use and 400 branded vehicles in Barcelona, Spain, during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 will allow passengers to connect on-the-go.
“At Huawei, we aim to be one step ahead in providing great technology that meets connectivity needs in every aspect of life.
As a leader in mobile broadband delivering next-generation LTE networks, Huawei devices such as Huawei CarFi Make it Possible for people to enjoy the freedom of connectivity on the move,” said Steven Liu, Vice President of Mobile Broadband and Home Product Line, Huawei Consumer Business Group.
Moreover, Huawei also introduced the 7-inch MediaPad X2, featuring a fully laminated 7-inch ultra HD IPS screen and a slim body of only 7.28 mm, the MediaPad X2 houses an ultra octa-core chipset, making it the first 64-bit ultra octa-core, 4G-enabled LTE dual-sim phablet.
“Following the success of the Huawei MediaPad X1, and having inherited the signature feature of our large screen design, the Huawei MediaPad X2 represents our faith and commitment in creating better quality products with our technology and innovation.” said Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group.
He added “as the second generation of MediaPad, Huawei MediaPad X2 focuses on the five classic applications that are most important to users, which include call quality, social media apps, online shopping, video and camera features to provide an enhanced user experience. We believe that MediaPad X2 will continue to inspire consumers with its outstanding design and superior functionality.”
