• A Mumbai cinema has reversed its decision to stop screening an iconic Bollywood movie after a 20-year run following an outcry from fans.
The cinema, Maratha Mandir, will now continue to show the film just days after it stopped showing it, saying it was no longer commercially viable.Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, a romantic drama, was first shown in October 1995.
The cinema said it received hundreds of calls from broken hearted fans within hours of deciding to end the run.
• Known for being accessible to his fans whenever possible, Atif says he might do something special for his music lovers, whom he fondly calls Aadeez, on his forthcoming birthday.
“I will be taking calls from them and I might come out with a new song on my birthday,” Atif told IANS in a group interview at RED LiVE presents ‘Asli Rockstars with Atif Aslam and Mohit Chauhan' here.
Prior to his concert Sunday, he shared that when he visited the city in November last year, a few fans were left disappointed as he crooned more Bollywood songs as compared to his album ones.
“We are given limited time so, we can't do all the songs. But I will try to do more album songs tonight so that I can make them happy,” he said.
And the “Aadat” hitmaker, who last came out with his own album “Meri Kahani” in 2008, adhered to what he promised as he performed album tracks like “Yakeen”, “Doorie” and “Hum Kis Gali” apart from hit Bollywood songs like “Jeena jeena” and “Bakhuda tumhi ho.”
• Kajol, an all time popular Bollywood actress is set to return to Bollywood. After her much publicized comeback film with Ram Madhvani did not work out, the actress has now confirmed her comeback.
Recently the actress said that her next film, yet-untitled, will be releasing in 2016. The said film is being made under her home production and it will apparently roll out in July – August this year.
• Priyanka Chopra is in Los Angeles to be part of a show by ABC TV Network, but she's busy dabbling in music.
“Studio day!!! So much fun!! As always! Making music is magical!! It never ceases to amaze me!! No some zzzzzzs,” the actress tweeted.
Sam Spiegel shared a photo of himself with Priyanka and wrote, “Me and my girl @priyankachopra cooking up some fresh Punjabi flavors for that delicious new @nasaofficial”.
• Sikh group sues Bollywood actor in U.S. court over ‘84 India massacre. Mohender Singh, a plaintiff in the case against Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan, said the U.S. courts were his last recourse after years of waiting for Indian courts to act on violence against Sikhs in 1984.
• Honey Singh is back with his new song, Birthday Bash from the film, Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend.
India's Mohit Chauhan and popular Pakistani singer Atif Aslam performed in Gurgaon to a packed audience of thousands to spread the message of peace and love on February 22nd.
