JEDDAH — Al Faisalya Women Welfare Society launched the “Reward and Cleanliness” development program in cooperation with King Khalid Foundation as its part of the development programs on building the capabilities of non-profit organizations in the Kingdom to provide financial and technical support to organizations with sustainable themed projects designed to augment the community. “Reward and Cleanliness” program aims to recycle waste of paper and plastic and to educate and guide families benefiting from Al Faisalya, in addition to students and community of the importance of preserving the environment and living in a safe, clean environment and contribute to support Al Faisalya resources. Fawzia Al-Tassan, Al Faisalya director, explained that the project is flexible for more ideas and suggestions come within the financial resource development and environmental awareness for Al Faisalya. Al-Tassan added that the project will be implemented in three stages and that the first phase included some of the houses of families, members and employees from Al Faisalya in addition to some schools and hotels. The second stage will expand to include more schools, hotels and businesses. A contest on environment cleanliness will be announced based on the first and second stages and more partnerships would be conducted. King Khalid Foundation is chaired by Al Bandary Bint Abdul Rahman Al Faisal. — SG
