RIYADH — Bodybuilding as a profession is losing its charm in Telengana due to lack of support at various levels, said bodybuilder Esa Misri. He was addressing at the felicitation function organized by the Mumtaz group of hotels in Riyadh, which was held in his honor. Misri advised youths to also look out for better professions as body building alone is not enough to make a happy livelihood. He said that with the creation of Telangana, there are ample opportunities in business which one can tap effectively. Misri, a 43-year-old builder who has multiple titles in both and state and national championships to his credit, was recently on an invitation extended by Muzafferuddin to perform Umrah. A bronze medalist in Mr. India body building championship in heavy weight category of 90 kg, Misri was also conferred as the Pride of Hyderabad Award in USA. He owns many gyms and convention centers in Hyderabad. Mohammed Rafeeq, general manager of the Mumtaz group, presented a memento to Misri. Shabaz Farooqui Mohammed conducted the proceedings and welcomed the guests. Dr. Mohammed Ashraf Ali, president of All India United Society; Mohammed Rafeeq, vice president of Muzafferuddin; Arch. Abdul Rahman Saleem, president of Hindustani Bazme Urdu; and Abdulaziz Shamim Khan spoke on the occasion. Dignitaries of various organizations graced the occasion, including Obaid Ur Rahman, Mohammed Quaiser, Dr. Sayeed Mohiuddin and others. Taher Bin Jafer presented the vote of thanks.
