TAIF — Police arrested a man in his 20s after he was caught red-handed stealing a gas tank from a store. Makkah Police spokesman Lt. Col. Ati Al-Qurashi said the police saw the doors of a store open in the middle of the night. They caught sight of the thief trying to steal gas tanks. After being spotted in the evil act, he tried to escape, but was arrested after a chase. Officers also seized scissors, screwdrivers and gloves used to break into the store and a truck with two stolen gas tanks in it. The storeowner was called in to make sure that no other items were stolen. He also added that the thief was sent to prison but was released through a blanket royal decree.
