SAUDI national carrier flynas officially launched a Turkish-language browsing and booking capability on its website at the recently concluded Jeddah International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (JTTX) 2015 to better serve the needs of its rapidly growing Turkish customer base. The launch ceremony was attended by Fikret Ozer, Consul General to Saudi Arabia. Turkish-speaking passengers traveling to and from Saudi Arabia can now book their flights, track and manage their reservation, complete online check-in, and receive real-time updates on their journey by visiting flynas' new Turkish language website. The new website complements the Arabic and English language sites already offered by flynas. Ozer said “as the historic, religious and cultural ties as well as the economic and trade cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia continue to develop and diversify their bilateral economic and trade cooperation, flynas with its extensive operations in Turkey has served as a vital bridge connecting people and businesses in these two countries. Now, with the launch of a Turkish-language website – which will greatly improve the convenience for Turkish-speaking passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia – flynas has once again demonstrated its commitment to continually enhancing the customer experience. This move will further facilitate air travel between Saudi Arabia and Turkey.” Turkey's aviation market is witnessing a period of high growth, with passenger traffic increasing by 14.5 percent in 2013. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Turkey is expected to see around 5 per cent growth in the next decade compared to a global average of around 3 percent. “The introduction of Turkish language on our website comes as part of flynas' strategy to make traveling easier for our customers through effective use of digital channels which allow them to save time and cost,” said Yazeed Al Rasheed, Brand Manager at flynas. “Turkey is an important and strategic market for flynas, which operates 27 flights weekly to Istanbul, Antakya and Adana from flynas hubs in Riyadh and Jeddah. The new Turkish language website will enable flynas to better serve customers in this core market, improve communication with passengers, and reinforce its position as an aviation industry leader.” The new website builds on the success of the mobile app for smartphones launched recently to simplify the travel experience for flynas customers. — SG
