Have you ever read a blog? A “Web Log,” or blog is a Web page where people share information, feelings and experiences. People add new writing to their blogs all the time, sometimes even daily. Many companies have blogs where people who work at the company tell about new things happening there.
Lots of kids have blogs. Blogs written by children often replace the diaries where kids would write their important thoughts. If you've never seen a kid's blog before, read a bit from Em's Canvas (http://emscanvas.blogspot.com/) or Miriam's Magical Moments (http://victoria-miriamsmoments.blogspot.com/).
People can share interesting thin gs through blogs. A couple of weeks ago, on the “Oh My Disney” blog, fans of the movie “Frozen” got to take a peek at scenes from the new “Frozen Fever” short film. Frozen Fever is a 10-minute featurette that will be played at movie theaters before the new Cinderella film to be released in March.
The Oh My Disney blog explains that in the short film, it is Anna's nineteenth birthday, and Elsa and Kristoff want to give her the best celebration ever. But Elsa gets sick and comes down with a head cold. It should be no surprise that Elsa's cold is different from the usual sneezes and sniffles the rest of us get.
In Disney's blog at http://blogs.disney.com/oh-my-disney/2015/02/02/we-have-frozen-fever-and-the-only-cure-is-new-images/ see photos of Elsa waking up Anna on the big day, Elsa and Kristoff getting ready for Anna's party, the birthday cake, a family portrait and the sisters' new dresses.
Of course the main event for Disney in March is not Frozen Fever, but Cinderella. Disney has created a huge website at http://movies.disney.com/cinderella to tell about the new film. Unlike Frozen, Cinderella is not animated. It stars actress Lily James as Ella, whose father remarries following the death of her mother. Happy to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother and her daughters Anastasia and Drisella into the family. But, when Ella's father dies suddenly, poor Ella finds herself treated badly. She becomes the family servant, covered in ashes, and renamed Cinderella. Ella could easily lose hope, but instead she continues to follow her mother's wishes, that she should “have courage and be kind.”
