The German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs organized a high-ranking trip of over 30 businessmen from the state of Bavaria – one of Germany's economically most powerful regions with a GDP as high as KSA's. The delegation was headed by Franz Josef Pschierer, the Bavarian State Secretary of Economics and Energy. The delegation held meeting with the Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber Abdul Rahman S. Al-Otaishan and other board members. The highlight of the trip was the signing of an MOU between Al Naba International Company, represented by Mutlaq M. Naba Al Qahtani, German consultants company BiPRO, represented by Dr. Reinhard Joas and environmental consultant Mamdoh M. Miran to create a professional consultants company in Jubail catering to the Saudi Arabian market. The newly founded company goes by the name BiPRO Middle East and will be operated on a fair and equitable basis. It will provide services in the areas of accident prevention, waste management and chemicals supply. “The signing is an important step to strengthen the business relations between Germany and the Kingdom and to facilitate the transfer of know-how and technology,” said Andreas Hergenroether, delegate of German Industry and Commerce for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen. GESALO also organized individual B2B meetings with high-ranking businessmen of Saudi Arabian companies and roundtable talks in the Asharqia Chamber to further establish business ties. “The frequency of German delegation visits – 3 business delegations have visited KSA in the first 5 weeks of 2015 - underlines the undoubted commitment of German business to be a strategic partner for the Kingdom,” said Hergenroether. — SG
