RIYADH — The Saudi Food and Drugs Authority (SFDA) issued violation notices against food warehouses in Jeddah and Dammam for manipulating the expiration dates of 2,800 kg of raisins and 2,000 liters of cooking oil. SFDA found 282 cartons of raisin, each containing 10 kg, in a food warehouse in Jeddah. The expiration dates on the cartons had been manipulated so they could be resold in local markets. SFDA also found 80 bottles of cooking oil, each containing 25 liters, in a warehouse in Al-Khaldiyah District in Dammam. The expiration dates on the bottles had also been tampered with.
