A businessman in Dhulm has joined official conservation efforts by offering a SR10,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of hunters who killed several Arabian Oryx on the Taif to Riyadh highway recently. The National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development (NCWCD) has also offered a reward for tip-offs concerning Arabian Oryx hunters involved in a previous incident in the same region. Authorities say they will deal with any information offered with the utmost confidentiality and ask the public to call the NCWCD at 014414333 or 014418700.
