MAKKAH — An accident in Al-Jumoom governorate resulted in the death of a fuel truck driver on Saturday. Makkah Province Civil Defense spokesman Saeed Sarhan reported that firefighters and rescue workers were dispatched to the location of the accident. Civil Defense officers secured the area around the accident and managed the flow of traffic while rescuers worked to remove the driver's body from the overturned vehicle.
The fuel in the tanker was transferred to another truck. In another accident in Jamoom, eight people were injured when two cars crashed head-on. A source reported that the victims were transported by the Red Crescent to the nearest hospital. In Riyadh, an accident near the intersection of King Fahd and King Salman roads injured seven people. Riyadh Red Crescent spokesman Abdullah Al-Muraibidh reported that the Red Crescent dispatched aerial aid and four rescue teams to attend to the injured.
