The Civil Defense is fully prepared to deal with all situations arising due to rains and flooding in the holy sites. “We have identified the vulnerable areas in the event of heavy rains. The Civil Defense and other concerned government departments have formed a committee to study the hazards of rains and following up on floodwater drainage in Haj season and all year round,” said General Sulaiman Bin Abdullah Al-Amro, commander of the Civil Defense's Haj force. He said the Meteorological and Environmental Protection Agency will be working in the other holy sites to let the Civil Defense know the weather forecast “in order for us to be battle ready for any eventuality.” Hassan Al-Meerah, deputy director of Analysis and Weather Forecasting Department, said his department will alert the Civil Defense and other authorities of any impending variation in weather.
