DAMMAM — The International Indian School Dammam contingent made impressive gains at the CBSE Inter-School Athletics meet that concluded recently at Devine Child School, Mehsana, Gujarat. The squad included 12 boys and 3 girls.
Ashish Poojary and Gause Mohammed did exceptionally well and secured silver medals in triple jump and high jump, respectively. Gause set a new national record in high jump under-19, clearing 1.95 meters.
Abdul Latif and Mrs. Shiney Vaz accompanied the teams as managers.
The jubilant squad was given a grand reception at the school upon arrival.
Abdulla Manjeri, chairman of the School Managing Committee along with Dr. E.K. Mohammed Shaffe, Principal and HOI, Lt. Col. J.A. Rocque, Principal In-charge, and other senior school staff were present on the occasion.
Boy's section scouts, under Sajjad Khan, presented a welcome drill. Manjeri and Dr. Shaffe congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the school's physical education faculty and the squad members for their hard work.
Rocque welcomed the gathering and Yogesh Tamboli was the master of ceremony.
