MAKKAH — Civil Defense firefighters here put out a large fire that broke out in two fuel tanks and a diesel truck. The fire started from a number of fuel barrels inside a parking lot for trucks and quickly spread to the nearby tanks. Minutes later it spread to the diesel truck that was parked nearby, said spokesman Lt. Col. Naif Al-Shareef. The consequences could have been disastrous had the fire spread to the fuel truck that was also parked in the vicinity, he said. A courageous firefighter got in the truck and moved it away from the blaze. Luckily, no one was injured.
