ISLAMABAD — Pakistan off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez failed an unofficial test of his bowling action in India after six of his deliveries were found to have elbow extension of over 15 degrees, according to a laboratory report obtained by The Associated Press Sunday. Hafeez had opted for unofficial testing at a laboratory accredited by the International Cricket Council in Chennai earlier this week before going to the ICC for an official test of his bowling action. According to the report, four of Hafeez's six deliveries over the wicket were beyond the 15 degrees elbow extension permitted under ICC rules. His first two deliveries, around the wicket, were also measured at 17 and 19 degrees. Hafeez was suspended last month from bowling in international cricket after an independent analysis found the off-spinner's bowling action to be illegal. Hafeez still has a chance to make it to the World Cup next month solely as a batsman. — AP
