ICC and Micro Engineering Cricket joined Pak Young and Osfan Youngsters to complete the semifinals lineup at JCA Otex Cup Div. I last weekend. The tournament is sponsored by Otex and is being organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association. In the 9th week action Micro Engineering Cricket Club beat Irfan Cricket Club (ICC) by 45 runs to advance. Electing to bat first Micro Engineering Cricket Club scored 140-8 in its allotted overs and then skittled ICC for 95. Azhar and Hafeez gave Micro a brisk start but were back soon. Pervez stood firm and played an intelligent innings of 56 runs off 27 deliveries. ICC spinners Faheem and Faraz did well to contain the run-rate and bagged two wickets each. ICC, in reply, was bundled out for 95. Wicketkeeper batsman Ozer was the highest scorer for ICC with 31. Emaad scored 15, Shakeel 14 and Amoudi 13 runs. Nisar took two wickets while Mujahid, Shakeel and Pervez bagged a wicket each for Micro Engineering. ICC won the 10th week match against Kanoo by six wickets to reach the semis. Batting first Kanoo scored 132-9 in 18 overs, while ICC reached the target for the loss of four wickets. Kanoo opener Mohammad Junaid scored 37 runs, while others to contributed to the score were Basit and Mansoor with 20 runs each and Sami Khan 14. ICC skipper Irfan Qureshi took six wickets, while Asif and Faraz bagged a wicket each. ICC openers Nadeem and Qureshi departed early to medium-pacer Junaid. But Uzair, the man of the match, scored 64 runs. Shakeel scored 20, while Amoudi added 18. Junaid picked up three wickets, while Moid took one for Kanoo. __
