RIYADH — RCL Inter-School Cricket Tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL), started at RCL Complex here recently. Five teams are participating in U-16 category. They are Pakistan International School Riyadh (PISR) Nasriya, Pakistan International School Riyadh – English Section (PISR-ES), International Indian School Riyadh (IISR), Al-Yasmin International School Riyadh (YISR) and Royal Academy of Cricket (RAC) Mixed Schools XI. The 3 teams taking part in U-19 category are PISR Nasriya, PISR-ES and RAC Mixed Schools XI. The matches are played on Saturdays. RCL has prepared the ground and set up several pavilions for families to watch the matches. Powered by an excellent century by Mukul IISR crushed PISR-ES by 187 runs in the first U-16 match. IISR elected to bat first and made 278. Mukul was in good form and remained unbeaten on 145 with 15 boundaries. He was supported by Akifein (39) and Razil (33). Arham, Shahid and Zain took 1 wicket each. In reply, PISR-ES was bowled out for 91. While Umair and Muhid managed to make double figures, other batsmen failed badly. Safwan took 3 wickets, Aamir one, while Saud and Mukul claimed 2 each. Man of the Match: Mukul.
