MADINAH — Security officers arrested 116 workers of various nationalities at Mahd Al-Dhahab mining area for violating residency laws, according to Madinah Police spokesman Col. Fahad Al-Ghannam. They were arrested during a crackdown on expatriate workers not in compliance with residency and labor regulations. Meanwhile, an Indian driver with no residency permit or driver's license was apprehended in Riyadh for transporting female students to school. The driver was traveling at a high speed on the Riyadh-Kharj highway when he was pulled over by police. Officers drove the female students to their homes while the driver was taken to the police station.
