RIYADH – The Capital Market Authority (CMA) announced on Wednesday that it was transferring cases related to violations of articles 31, 49 and 50 of the Capital Market Law to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIP). It said the decision was in line with an order issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque King Abdullah last year, the Saudi Press Agency reported quoting a CMA statement posted on the Tadawul website. According to the order, the concerned agencies and committees at CMA will no longer have jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute parties involved in criminal offenses related to the three articles, the statement said. — SG
