RIYADH — Authorities are studying the option of allowing reporters to join them during crackdown campaigns on undocumented workers or those violating residence regulations, according to a Ministry of Interior source. The decision was made after authorities noticed some newspapers stopped covering the crackdown campaigns, which the source said had not stopped and occurred three to four times a week. Over the past two months, 37,248 undocumented workers were deported. Around 132,939 violators of residency regulations, the majority of whom are locked in deportation centers here, will be deported soon.
