Except for the overstayers, I think that the majority of these expats were legal before they became illegal by being entrapped and severely affected by the Saudi exploiters of loopholes and glitches in labor laws. The Ministry of Labor must exert more effort to protect the rights of civilians and expatriates equally. Shuaib ELyas Investigate how these expats entered Saudi Arabia and who is responsible for making them illegal. Mushtaq Artani They must find out why these expat workers ran away from their sponsors. Such poor workers take heavy loans to buy visas and to travel abroad for a better future. On arrival they are brutally and unfairly treated which is what forces them to take such drastic action. They cannot go back home as they have to pay loans and also their passports are being held by their employers. The Saudi government should give justice to such poor people; it must set up a complaint center for expats and give them justice. This will help reduce the number of illegal immigrants. Muhammad Aftab Khan No one would have any problem with that if you correct your definition of illegal, or at least put some investigation into the matter before calling these workers illegal. Most of them have been here for only a few months after “buying” a visa (which is illegal) and had no knowledge about the law here. Why is it then their fault? It's the act of the person who sold them the visa which is illegal. AbdulRehman Bin AbdulQayyum Al-Siddiqui
