The Jeddah Diabetic Patients Center on Saturday started three-day activities at Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The activities are part of the International Day of Diabetes which fell last week. Visitors can see and try latest devices to measure blood sugar and other different methods that help to avoid the disease. The second day of the activities is exclusively for women and Monday is devoted for families. The activities include some workshops, lectures and exhibition to increase an awareness among diabetic patients. More than three million Saudis suffer from diabetes. According to international estimates, there are more than 170 million diabetic people in the world and this number can be doubled by 2030.
