After reading the article “Kenyan maid sent back home after sponsor accused of abuse” (Dec. 14), I think some citizens need a little education. To the lady, I say bravo! You stood your ground. At the same time, it is shameful for the police to keep the foreigner in custody instead of releasing her to her embassy. I wonder if she got all her belongings and salary. It was silly for her sponsor to report to the police that she was a criminal although she wanted to go home to her country because of the abuse.
