With regard to the article “Govt agencies, car rentals benefit from status quo on women driving” (Dec. 10), I would like to emphasize that there are other reasons for women not to drive, besides economic reasons. The first one is to save women drivers from the reckless and irresponsible driving of many males in Saudi Arabia. Second, driving that is overly careful can also cause terrible accidents. And third, nowhere in the world for safety reasons is it allowed to drive with a veil or other vision-limiting head covering.
