RIYADH – Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal has received an invitation to visit Iraq, according to an official source at the ministry. “Prince Saud has promised to respond to the invitation after taking into account a convenient time for both sides,” the source said. The invitation was extended by Iraq's Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi during their meeting in Brussels on Wednesday on the sidelines of the international conference of partner countries in the coalition against the self-proclaimed Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The two leaders reviewed the ongoing efforts to reopen the Saudi Embassy in Baghdad after finding a suitable venue and making available the required facilities and services, the source said. Prince Saud stressed that returning normalcy to Iraq would strengthen the stability and security of entire region.
