JEDDAH — Pakistan Executive Group (PEG), a prominent Pakistani group here, organized a condolence meet for social worker, ex-chief of a Saudi company, Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) founding member, and Punjab former president Ahsan Rasheed at the Marhaba restaurant on Thursday. The meeting was largely attended by Saudis, executive members of PEG and other eminent members. President PEG Mutahir Hussain Rizvi welcomed the attendees and paid tribute to the PTI leader Ahsan Rasheed in his speech. Notables among the attendees were Pakistan Consul General Aftab Ahmed Khokher, former federal minister of General Perves Musharaf's time Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain, Masood Ahmad Puri, Tariq Asghar, Munir Gondal, Aamir Khursheed, Ather Nafees Abbasi, Hamid-ul-Islam, Asad Akram, Mohammed Amanatullah, journalists, writers, poets and others. The attendees expressed their feelings of sorrow in the condolence book, which will be sent to the family of Ahsan Rasheed in Lahore, Pakistan. Secretary General PEG Kunigal Azizullah Shariff told Saudi Gazette that a formal program will also be conducted in the near future to pay tribute to Ahsan Rasheed. The program concluded with supplication by prominent Saudi businessman Akram Siddique.
